North America Day in Düsseldorf

A Perfect Match on the Ice! Against the backdrop of the impressive PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Consul General Pauline Kao had the honor of dropping the puck on January 30, as part of the North America Day, together with Canadian Ambassador John Horgan, Canadian Consul in Düsseldorf Henri Proulx, and NRW State Secretary for Sports Andrea Milz.

It was an exciting ice hockey game between the Düsseldorfer EG and the Eisbären Berlin, providing a fantastic opportunity to underscore the significance of Düsseldorf and NRW as vibrant and valuable sports destinations, and to celebrate the strong partnership between NRW and the USA. While DEG couldn’t clinch victory against the league leaders from Berlin, we all emerge from the game as winners, with a newly deepened bond between NRW and North America. Special thanks to the State Police Orchestra under the direction of Scott Lawton for the national anthems and outstanding musical entertainment, and to DEG for their collaboration.
