A Look Back at the Fascinating NRW-USA Tour 2024!

From May 5th to 8th, we embarked on a journey to explore the close economic ties between the USA and North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). Anchoring our democracy, we highlighted NATO as a joint security and values alliance.

Accompanying a large seminar group from NRW’s civil society with the KAS Democracy Bus, we visited US companies in NRW and German stakeholders with strong US connections. This allowed us to showcase how our free democracy thrives through the US-NRW partnership on the ground.

The USA is not only Germany’s largest export partner but also crucial for NRW’s economy. #Democracy must be lived – and for this, we need NATO as a tool for both peacekeeping and peacebuilding.

To achieve this, we require the perfect synergy of economy and civil society in the USA-NRW partnership.
