
Nathanael Liminski, Minister for Federal and European Affairs, International Relations, Media, and Head of the State Chancellery, visited Washington D.C. for three days, just ahead of the U.S. presidential elections and to conclude the successful NRW-USA Year.
As a final highlight of the action-packed year, the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the German Embassy hosted a joint reception in celebration of German Unity Day, officially marking the end of the NRW-USA Year on the American side. NRW.Global Business and Bundesliga football club Borussia Dortmund were also present, showcasing North Rhine-Westphalia’s economic and sporting strengths.
“Let’s make use of the new connections forged this year, during a time of great global upheaval— for the benefit of the USA, NRW, and our friends and allies,” the Minister urged in his speech to the 2,500 attendees.
The NRW-USA Year will also be officially concluded in North Rhine-Westphalia with a closing ceremony in the State Parliament in Düsseldorf on October 11, 2024.
