Minister Nathanael Liminski and US Consul Chapman Godbey welcomed a delegation from the US Congressional Study Group on Germany to the State Chancellery in Düsseldorf for an exchange of views.

“The transatlantic friendship is lived at all levels. The regular exchange of business, science, culture and politics is the strong foundation of our relations. This exchange is more important than ever, as the Russian war of aggression and the joint fight against anti-Semitism following the Hamas terror against Israel show: In addition to common interests, common values are also important. North Rhine-Westphalia can rely on strong international partners at its side – and our partners can rely on us,” says Nathanael Liminski, Minister for Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs and Media and Head of the State Chancellery.

The Congressional Study Group on Germany is the oldest of four study groups in which members of the US Congress are involved. The bipartisan programmes serve to promote exchanges between members of Congress and their senior staff and international partners in Europe and Asia.
