Following a landslide victory, Donald J. Trump now holds the full executive powers of the U.S. presidency. With a Republican majority in both the Senate and the House of Representatives, shaped largely in his image, and a Supreme Court significantly influenced by his appointments, President Trump has the political backing to implement sweeping policy changes. Within just 30 days in office, he has already made it clear that he intends to pursue a radical shift in nearly every area of governance.
The impact of this seismic transformation is not limited to the U.S. but is already sending shockwaves across the globe, affecting both international politics and economies. What does this policy shift in the U.S.—Germany’s most important export market—mean for the German economy? Are there potential opportunities, or is Germany at risk of becoming the next target of U.S. tariffs as its fourth-largest trading partner? How will Europe’s increasing economic regulations contrast with the U.S.’s move toward deregulation?
We invite you to a presentation by Dr. Kai Westerwelle, Partner at CMS US Representative Office, San Francisco, on March 10, 2025, at 12:30 PM at the CMS offices, Kasernenstraße 43-45, 40213 Düsseldorf. A Q&A session will follow the talk.
We look forward to your participation!
