This event explores the history and legacy of children born of war – those born to local women and occupation soldiers. Prof. Dr. Silke Hackenesch (University of Cologne) will give an opening lecture, followed by a discussion between Rosemarie Peña and filmmaker Deann Borshay Liem. The evening concludes with a screening of Liem’s documentary Geographies of Kinship.
