Ghosted? Democracy and its institutions – Too old, too slow, and too out of touch?

As part of the series “Across the Pond – Politics, Power, Participation”, political scientist, author, speaker, and moderator from the University of Cologne Dr. Tobias Endler together with 1014 Space for Ideas; Open Embassy for Democracy (OPEM); and the University of Cologne New York Office offer a platform for important transatlantic debates on democracy, elections, and social cohesion. The upcoming event is dedicated to the often-loud criticism of democratic institutions: Are they too slow, corrupt and no longer able to address current problems efficiently? Could alternative societies without such institutions function democratically?
