Dear Partners, Friends, and Colleagues,
Join us on October 16th at 6 PM at NYU Langone Health (540 1st Ave) in New York City for “Motor Health – Transatlantic Cooperation Strategies and Tech Transfer in Sensorimotor Neuroscience”!
The University of Cologne New York Office cordially invites you to a panel discussion featuring experts in neurosciences, bioengineering, and biomechanics from Germany and the U.S. The event will highlight advances in sensorimotor research with a special focus on global health impact, technology transfer, and transatlantic funding opportunities. Join us on October 16th to find out how the nervous system and the body work together to generate movement and how dysfunctions can lead to motor deficits; which strategies successfully strengthen dialogue between academia and industry and support the development of open-access technologies to decode movement; and how collaborative efforts across national and transatlantic partners can drive innovative technological developments and research projects. Panelists and attending neuroscientists will also have the opportunity to build new partnerships, raise awareness for their work among stakeholders and the public, and potentially identify new funding sources. A networking reception following the panel discussion will provide further opportunities for exchange and may spark new international collaborations.
The event is organized in cooperation with the German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) New York, the German Research Foundation (DFG), the German Consulate General New York, and NYU Langone Health.
When: Thursday, October 16th, 6–8 PM (EST)
