Please join us for an evening of reflection as Pauline A. Kao shares key experiences and insights from her time as U.S. Consul General in North Rhine-Westphalia while also looking ahead to the future of the transatlantic partnership.

The talk and discussion will be followed by a reception.

Pauline A. Kao has held the post of U.S. Consul General for NRW at the Consulate General in Düsseldorf since August 2021. Prior to her posting to Germany, she was Head of the Public Affairs Section at the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai, China. Her first diplomatic posting abroad was at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, where Ms. Kao served as Vice Consul for Economic and Consular Affairs. This was followed by assignments as Deputy Press Secretary at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, Senior Associate in the Office of the U.S. Secretary of State in Washington, D.C., and Political Officer at the U.S. Mission to NATO in Brussels.
