375 years of the Peace of Westphalia

The main focus will be peace and the shared passion for sports.
Young people from Fresno/USA, as well as York, Kristiansand, Orléans, Monastir, Rishon LeZion, Lublin, Winnyzja, Mühlhausen, Enschede, and Münster will jointly remember the historical event in workshops and discuss the challenges of a future in peace in a globalized society. The diverse sports program will help create a sense of community.
At the same time, official delegations from the partner cities are also expected in Münster. Mayor Jerry Dyer is coming from Fresno, California, and will combine his invitation with a trade delegation.

We invite you to the following public events on August 19, 2023:

11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Twin City Panel
Interview with the youth representatives and Mayor Markus Lewe as well as the mayors from the partner cities
Location: Stadtfestbühne Dominikanerkirche (Salzstr. 10)

5:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Twin City Games
International, interactive sports festival with young people and Mayor Markus Lewe as well as the guests of honor from the partner cities
Location: WWU Sportcampus, Ballsporthalle and outside, (Horstmarer Landweg 86a)
