Workshop: How to Build a Manufacturing Presence in the United States

Despite ongoing trade tensions, the United States remains one of the most important markets for German companies. Many businesses continue to strengthen or expand their presence across the Atlantic, driven by strategic decisions to minimize risk. Increasingly, firms pursue a local-for-local approach — establishing production or investment directly in the U.S. to shield themselves from protectionist trade policies, regardless of political outcomes. Local manufacturing allows companies to operate more independently from import tariffs, currency fluctuations, and other uncertainties.
