The USA and transatlantic relations hold a prominent place at the International Trade Day. The German Chambers of Commerce from the USA, representing four regions (Chicago, Atlanta, New York, and Washington), will be in attendance. In the AHK Lounge, companies can receive personalized consultations on entering the US market. A distinguished panel titled “GREENTECHNOLOGY MADE IN NRW: HOW CAN GERMAN SMEs SUCCEED IN THE US MARKET?” invites active participation. The US government’s Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) has created a dynamic environment for green technologies like wind power, hydrogen, battery technology, and sustainable infrastructure. The growth prospects, especially in the GreenTech sectors, are highly positive due to significant investment incentives. NRW companies, particularly from the robust industries of chemistry and mechanical engineering, can benefit from US government funding programs by meeting specific criteria and strategic positioning. The panel discussion will feature entrepreneurs from August Friedberg AG, HUESKER Synthetic GmbH, and Deutsche Leasing USA & Canada, exploring the opportunities for green technologies in the US market and strategies for leveraging investment incentives. The focus will be on energy technology and sustainable infrastructure. Additionally, successful German SMEs’ sales activities in the US market and the essential success factors will be highlighted. Finally, the state of Alabama will showcase its offerings in the accompanying trade exhibition, attracting an engaged audience.
