The NRW-USA Year 2023/2024
The NRW-USA Year 2023/2024 celebrated the over 340-year-old transatlantic friendship between North Rhine-Westphalia and the United States—a relationship that remains stronger than ever today in fields such as diplomacy, business, education, and culture. In spring 2023, the government of North Rhine-Westphalia declared this special year to strengthen and celebrate the existing partnership through a variety of events and blog posts.
Since its official launch on June 22, 2023, more than 105 partners from North Rhine-Westphalia and the USA have jointly organized and hosted over 102 events and published 115 blog posts, reaching more than 4 million people. The year concluded with a festive event on September 25, 2024, at the German Embassy in Washington, and on October 11, 2024, at the North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament in Düsseldorf.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, partners, and supporters of the NRW-USA Year 2023/2024 for making this year of friendship a success. The website will remain active until the end of the year, allowing visitors to continue exploring and reading the content.
