Reception of partner city Lancaster/Wisconsin in Heiden
The Düsseldorf Consulate, which was represented by the Political-Economic Special Konstantin Kasakov, was excited to attend the event of the twin city reception of Lancaster and Heiden on Friday, August 11. The event, which was hosted by Heiden’s Mayor, Dr. Patrick Voßkamp, and attended by State Parliament Member Wilhelm Korth, highlighted the genuine dedication to this partnership. Adding to the significance, 2023 has been designated as the NRW-USA year, amplifying the importance of this collaboration even further.
The roots of this unique partnership stretch back to 1993 when the Busch family, originally from Lancaster, discovered their connections to Heiden. On May 11, 2010, the official partnership agreement was signed, setting the stage for a commitment to mutual growth and understanding.
