Reducing emissions to net zero is the widely shared goal of climate policies around the world, including the United States and the EU. The highly developed industrialized countries have the strongest potential and a special responsibility to take action. The concepts which the transatlantic partners apply to achieve these reductions are quite different, however. What impact do these divergent approaches have on businesses and consumers? How can economic competitiveness be maintained when confronted with the requirements posed by climate change? And how can the declared goal of climate neutrality be achieved in the interplay between politics, business and society on both sides of the Atlantic? Experts from politics and industries will introduce the concepts adopted by the EU and the US. This will form the basis for a discussion about best practices and proposals for further action.
You are cordially invited to stay for a reception with drinks and finger food after the discussion.
This event will be held in English.
