The NRW-USA Year 2023/24 highlights the long-standing economic and cultural ties between the USA and NRW. The American Football Schiefbahn Riders in Willich also share a great fascination with the Americans. American Football is very popular in America and has been played in Germany since 1945, initially mainly by occupying soldiers of the US Army. In Willich, the American Football Schiefbahn Riders e.V. have dedicated themselves to this sport and are a good address for American football and cheerleading for adults and children in the district of Viersen and far beyond.
Before the Super Bowl, which is eagerly awaited as a major event in the USA, we warm up with the pre-participation event “Six Points for Friendship”.
This open and free event is open to anyone who has ever wanted to throw a football, learn about sports and training opportunities and classic American sports over a snack, exchange ideas or just watch.
The cooperation partners of the American Football Schiefbahn Riders e.V. for this event are the KreisSportBund Viersen e.V. and the Kreisvolkshochschule Viersen.
